Are you looking for a unique location to hold your next event? The Wayside Chapel offers a wide variety of options for all types of events, including everything from a cocktail party for 100 people in our hall to a corporate team-building day with a break for lunch on our rooftop garden.


It’s not just the convenient location of Potts Point, the value for money and the variety of spaces that make holding an event at Wayside special, it’s also the fact that all money raised goes back to Wayside and opportunities are provided for visitors to learn catering skills.

All of our events are catered by people who are disadvantaged and face issues relating mental health and homelessness. By catering for events, they learn new skills, work together to solve problems and they have a great time. If people are serious about getting into the workforce, they can use the skills and experience gained at Wayside to help get a foot in the door.


Fast facts

  • Spaces available for hire include small to large meeting rooms, a 12m by 9m hall with ceilings that are two stories high and outdoor chapel (terrace).
  • Examples of events include corporate planning days or meetings, cocktail functions, theatre productions, art and photography exhibitions, children’s groups, product launches, casual lunches and formal sit down dinners. The options are endless!
  • Room hire costs range from $140 for the half day hire of a small meeting room to $840 for the full day hire of the community hall. Discounted rates are available for community organisations.
  • Catering costs range from $10 per person for morning tea to $25 per person for a two course meal.
